Hi, and thanks for downloading The Audiophile Society Sampler.

For those of you who don’t know me, I started Chesky Records and HDtracks, and my newest venture is The Audiophile Society. What I’m trying to do here is create a world with the best- sounding recordings ever made. If you’re looking for bright, nostalgic albums and LPs, that’s wonderful—but it’s not what we’re doing.

Our goal is to push audiophile recording into the future by creating better tone, and a much larger and wider soundstage than you’ve probably ever heard before. If you listen to our recordings with your speakers placed around 60 degrees apart, you’ll be amazed at the width and depth of the soundstage.

We’re also trying to give the next generation of young musicians a platform and bring fresh voices into the audiophile world. Kind of Blue is a masterpiece, of course—but if we only keep replaying the same classic albums in every conceivable format, we never give the next generation a chance to shine. We also have a great speaker and headphone test disc to help you set up and calibrate your hi-fi systems.
