At The Audiophile Society, our goal is simple: remove unnecessary manufacturing steps and get the listener as close as possible to the master.
A conventional CD is mass-produced. A glass master is created, stampers are made, and thousands of polycarbonate discs are replicated.

Our Reference CDs are different.

Each Reference CD is recorded one at a time directly from the final approved digital master onto a premium archival-grade CD-R. There is no glass master, no stamper, and no mass-production replication run.

WHY ONE-TO-ONE?

A CD transport is a real electromechanical system. The laser, tracking system, focus servos, and error-correction circuitry all work together to recover the digital data from the physical disc.

Our philosophy is simple: start with the master, make the physical disc as carefully as possible, and verify each copy individually.
Rather than manufacturing thousands of discs from a production stamper, we create your Reference CD one at a time from the same approved master used for the release.
