Alongside him, Anne Drummond dazzles on the flute, her melodies floating with an ethereal grace.
Featuring the guest vocals of Brazilian singer Patricia Dinely on the track "New Brazil," the album weaves a narrative that pays tribute to the essence of Brazil—from the lively streets of Rio de Janeiro to the serene landscapes of the Amazon. Café, a maestro of rhythm hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, brings his extensive experience and passion for percussion to the project. Having collaborated with luminaries such as Chuck Mangione, Steve Winwood, and Eliane Elias, his profound musicality and innovative approach breathe life into each track. Flautist Anne Drummond a veteran of Kenny Baron's Jazz group is known for her fluid technique and expressive performances, Drummond has carved out a niche for herself in the jazz world, collaborating with a diverse array of artists across genres. Her contributions to The Brazil Project highlight the flute's versatility and its ability to convey the nuanced emotions embedded in Brazilian melodies.
