O's Notes: The audiophiles in the audience relish the Chesky releases circa 1980s that established a warm digital sound, a benchmark for over sampling technology. David Chesky is the co-founder of Chesky Records with his brother Norman. They extended the platform to a high-resolution digital streaming service, HDtracks in 2008. David is also a pianist, composer, producer and arranger.  Graffiti Jazz is his all-electronic exercise, a solo effort with no real instruments. We enjoyed the viscous vibe of “No. 2”, the earthy bottom on “No. 3”, mysterious “No. 5” and “No. 6”, and challenge listeners to appreciate all of the music with true likeliness of a cool jazz vibe. We’d call it creative, abstract music that feels good.
